Experience

Sally is a AEA-eligible actor based in the DC Metropolitan Area. She's worked all over town, boasting gigs at Olney Theatre Center, Folger Theatre, Kennedy Center and more! She strives to expand her skillset, and was able to play both piano and accordion in a recent production of The Tempest

Sally's advantage as a voice teacher derives from her personal experience "in the biz". She understands the rigors and anxieties around auditioning, whether it be for a school production or a University course! She focuses on acting-through song, healthy vocal technique, as well as monologue prep. Her students have gained access to prestigious music programs including Berklee College of Music, Catholic University, George Mason University, and William and Mary. Her professional students have gained work at Signature Theatre, Olney Theatre Center, Gala Hispanic Theatre, among other theatres.

Education

Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama

Master of Musical Theatre

Sally received training from one of Britain's highest-ranking performance schools. Here she worked 40+ hour weeks studying Shakespeare, text and voice, Estill Method, Laban, and Leqoc, as well as receiving rigorous ballet, tap and jazz training. Her degree culminated in showcases in Cardiff and London, with her performing the role of Amy in Company

University of New South Wales Australia

Sally pursued vocal performance and psychology in Sydney, Australia, where her parents originally met! Here she dappled in both music and science, but it was clear that she had a strong passion for working with the theatre society and auditioning for all the shows she could. While at the University, she performed with their prestigious a cappella choir as well as their larger, University-wide choir, and in her final years, she joined the St James Choir Sydney, which challenged her rigorously in sight-reading and repertoire.
